Sam Tyson
Sam Tyson (they/them) is a wildly talented tattooer based out of Hamilton Ontario, specializing in nostalgic cartoon tattoos. That's just one of the many sides of Sam. Outside of tattooing they're an amazing cat parent to 3 adorable (and crazy) fur babies. If it wasn't obvious enough from that last point, they are in-fact, a massive homosexual (the gayest, if you will). They communicate strictly in movie/tv show references (the gayer the better). If you ever catch Sam wearing a boring outfit, check in...make sure they're ok because their daily fits are always fiiire.

What is your rate?
In short: $180/hr +hst
Large scale projects are done at my hourly rate. Smaller one-shot tattoos are done at a flat rate.

Do you require a deposit?
When booking an appointment I require a $113 deposit that goes towards the total cost of the tattoo. Deposits are nonrefundable. If a client needs to reschedule their appointment or would like to change the design concept entirely I require at least 48 hours notice. If less than 48 hours notice is given or a client fails to show up for their scheduled appointment that deposit will be void. If a client wishes to reschedule with less than 48 hours notice, a new deposit will be required to book. Deposits cannot be held indefinitely and require an appointment to be scheduled in order to remain valid.
Why do you require a deposit?
A deposit is to ensure the client will be attending their scheduled appointment. It is also to cover a small portion of the loss of income that I incur when an appointment does not show up. When I’m given no notice to try and fill an appointment spot, that means I don’t get to work that day (I am a private studio so I don’t get walk-ins and rely solely on appointments). In cases of emergency I can be more flexible with this.
How do I book with you?
I open my books every three months. I announce booking days on my Instagram @sillygoose.tattoo If your submission is accepted you will be asked for a $113 deposit that goes towards the total cost of your tattoo. After the deposit is sent we will find a date to book your appointment.
Is there a cancelation list?
Any cancelations//last minute openings are announced in my Instagram story.
Do you do custom tattoos?
Absolutely! As long as it’s within my style.
How do I book an available design?
Folks booking my available designs get to skip the wait. Just shoot me an email and we can find you a spot.
Are available designs done multiple times?
Most available designs are one-offs. Repeatable flash is indicated.
Payment methods?
Cash or E-transfer
Will you tattoo minors?
I only tattoo 18+
Do you do cover ups//reworks?
Yes, on a case by case basis.
Do you finish work started by other artists?
Not typically.
Do you tattoo over scars//stretch marks?
Yes!
Can I see my drawing in advance?
I do not send out designs in advance as I’ve had them stolen before. All my clients see their design the day of the appointment and if anything needs to be changed I do that on the spot.
What style of work do you accept?
I focus mainly on cartoons and pop culture but I also enjoy tattooing flowers, animals//pets, plants, food, anything I can make fun and bold!
Im personally a big fan of all animation (not just Disney), graphic novels, horror movies, drag, music, 80s//90s//early 00s culture and anything gay.
Are touch ups free?
Touch ups are free within the first year the tattoo is done. After more than a year, I charge my minimum which is $200 +hst. Or! If you’re getting a new tattoo the touch up can be done at the same time for no extra charge.
What if I need to reschedule?
All clients are permitted two reschedules per deposit. After two reschedules a new deposit will be required.
Deposits can not be held indefinitely, clients must have an appointment in the schedule in order for the deposit to remain valid.
